According to news from Weihai port on January 11th, 2017, Weihai port imported heavy metal concentrates for 293 times in 2016 with lead concentrate, copper concentrate, silver concentrate and pyrite as main materials and Ecuador, Peru and other South African countries as main origin countries
Heavy metal concentrates are mainly used to smelt raw materials of copper, gold, lead, silver and other metals. They are also important raw materials for jewelry industry, electronic industry, modern communication industry, aircraft industry and other industries . Due to the rapid increase of heavy metal imports, Weihai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau makes supervisions strictly, improves the effectiveness, continuously shortens declaration period and reduces logistic costs.
